Banana For Scale
A downloadable game
Dr. O'Peel has failed many experiments at Sizincorp but this is the worst yet!
Everything in the world is now the wrong size, aside from a few bananas that Dr O'Peel kept in his size-proof safe. As the new trainee sizentist, it's your job to use the bananas to make everything the correct size.
While on the job, Dr O'Peel will pay you in banana peels, not because it's this world's currency, but because he doesn't carry money. You can spend these peels in O'Peel's shop to retrieve the other bananas from the size-proof safe, or use the teleporter to visit any location!
If you have enough peels, Dr. O'Peel may even let you change the mode on the sizing device!
You have to use intuition, imagination and visualization to correctly scale objects to the size they were pre-catastrophe. However, time is ticking as the objects phase in and out of reality (yet another side effect of banana-based time travel).
Alongside your main mission, Dr O'Peel has provided you with some tasks to complete while you work to keep you entertained. Completing these will give you extra peels and a sense of accomplishment like no other. That KA-CHING sound is fantastic!
---------------------------------------------------------------
What started as a silly idea, quickly blew up to be our first large-scale game! It took lots of time, effort and Tesco meal deals but we did it and Banana For Scale is available on the Google Play store now.
- 100+ different objects
- 6 different maps with unique objects and music
- Quirky achievements to keep you interested
- 4 different game modes to try
- 10+ different banana skins, some with unique properties
- funny banana game lol
We Launched into full-scale marketing mode and made all of these cool images for our social media. We also printed off these posters at A4, A3 and A2 but with each poster, the banana on the front was always the size of a banana
We don't know if the game was bad because we didn't get many downloads to begin with. maybe 30+. All feedback appeared positive so we don't know why it didn't get much traction.
We also did a couple events. We had stalls where we had an Ipad with the game on it, and handed out real bananas with our QR code stickers on. We also had badges that we handed out to people who played our game
