This project was alot of fun to make.
Focusing on UX and UI design for mobile development, I was able to make a neat exploring game with a unique mechanic where you have to actually navigate a map using orienteering skills rather than simply seeing where you are.
The combat system was based entirely on animations and was inspired by the dark souls combat system in the way that the hitboxes appear at specific points in the animation and follow the weapon.
As you can see from my commentary document, I went through many iterations of the UI design the primary challenge for this project was making the controls intuitive enough to be used with one hand because research suggests that most people play mobile games one-handed.
Also I used unity's navmesh system for the enemy AI and I had to mark all of the out-of-bounds areas which was a pain for a map this large
